Changes to University Operations affecting MADLab Services

March 16, 2020

(This post will be updated as needed.)

Update - March 2022

Please note that due to ongoing construction inside a portion of Gerstein Library, in-person services including the original Gerstein+MADLab 3D printing services and HTC Vive VR studio will be closed. We hope to provide an update later in the spring (2022) when the schedule for the completion of the construction in the MADLab is solidified.

We are now offering a new remote 3d printing service. This service allows you to submit print jobs online and retrieve them from the Gerstein circulation desk. It continues to operate while in-person services at the MADLab are closed.

I will be available via e-mail ( and video chat, and will continue to  provide support for app development & distribution at UofT, 3D printing, VR and more. Limited on-demand 3D printing services are available for research or academic projects.

Thank you,

Mike Spears, MADLab Manager
